What you will do 

Deliver performance reporting to support publisher initiatives: QBR’s,  Benchmarking, Competitive/Gap analysis, Recruitment, Strategy development, Payment Reconciliation, Monthly recaps, etc. 

Support Publisher Recruitment & Onboarding initiatives 

Nurture and close a pipeline of premium publisher relationships to contribute to team revenue goals 

Pursue and manage strategic channel partnerships 

Analytically shape the portfolio to meet sales requirements in terms of publisher tier quality, targeting needs.

Drive a publisher development strategy and recruitment tactics to grow 

Managing publisher communication via social, email, newsletters, forums and the Tyroo|CJ offers a portal. 

Monitoring for publisher drop-off and instigating reactivation campaigns. 

Contribute to mass communication to both educate publishers on Tyroo|CJ initiatives or educate advertisers on publisher opportunities. 

Review pending advertisers’ offers and applications to generate new revenue-building opportunities. 

Review affiliate publisher pages and report discrepancies. 

Deliver on ad hoc reporting requests. 

Collaborate with colleagues across the globe, coordinating between different time zones.

 Requires flexibility with occasional calls scheduled during non-work hours.

Qualifications 

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Regional Language (Chinese/Korean) and English speaking is required 

A graduate in any discipline.

2-4 years of exposure in digital media/client services role preferred

Technical understanding of digital monetization platforms and APIs

What you will do

Grow our business by developing and executing an aggressive client acquisition sales strategy

Identify, develop and close new business opportunities across a variety of brand verticals.

Partner with account and strategy teams to help clients solve problems and leverage research and data to inspire and grow.

Lead the development of proposals and pitches from the client/prospect perspective to ensure relevance, impact, value and compelling business cases.

Maintain strong relationships with existing clients by upselling, renewing, and expanding to grow accounts.

Track record of success pitching and developing new business with premiere brands.

Job Description 

As a Client Development Manager, you are responsible for a portfolio of advertiser accounts. Client Development Managers provide expert advice, training and consultation on affiliate marketing best practices and strategies; as well as create content, tools, and thought leadership. Client Development Managers play a key role in renewing contracts, upselling relevant services, providing financial projections, and working with counterparts in other Tyroo|CJ functions to ensure client needs are met. The Client Development Manager is the trusted advisor to our advertisers and partners with them on how to best execute affiliate marketing strategy on the Tyroo|CJ Affiliate network. 

This role will be based in Japan, and report to Tyroo|CJ’s Client Development Director.

Manage client relationships and develop a deep understanding of advertiser’s corporate and marketing objectives to develop affiliate marketing strategies that deliver high impact results. 

Coach clients on how to best execute the strategies we provide. 

Maintain a strong relationship with the advertiser’s performance management team.

What you will do 

Grow Tyroo|CJ client revenues and accurately forecast revenue growth, potential upside and risk, realizing upside and mitigating risk. 

Independently develop framework/structure to build strategy plans to meet client goals. Create a customized plan to support the KPIs/goals for each program. 

Effectively use data to support the plan 

Effectively use graphs, formatting, smart art to visually represent your major points/takeaways

Effectively sell in opportunities, Tyroo|CJ solutions & requests for additional investment

Effectively delegate tasks among the account team to appropriately divide responsibilities. 

Meet planning deadlines to complete QBR within designated timeframes and to ensure adequate time to develop talking points. 

Provide follow-up notes and actions items afterwards. Incorporate action items into weekly agendas to ensure follow through and alignment in tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree 

Japanese and English speaking skills required 

3–6 years of experience working in affiliate marketing or digital performance marketing

Capability to develop thoughtful strategies to grow advertiser programs

Strong written and verbal communication and relationship skills.
